Rangers may not be able to add any more players to their squad, but that does not mean there cannot be further exits.
The Gers had yet another hectic summer transfer window as 14 new players arrived, offset by mass departures.
Kevin Kelsy arrived for around £9million in the final hours of the window, which shut three weeks ago now.
That was for incoming business, at least, with various other windows across the world staggering their closing times.
That includes in the Middle East, with a club now pouncing to sign a Rangers player.
The timing comes as a surprise, given many thought transfer business was done for the summer, but it is an exit that had been on the cards.
Who is latest player to leave Rangers?
Just two years after arriving at Ibrox from AC Milan, Clinton Nsiala is a Rangers player no more.
It was announced on Tuesday that Nsiala has joined UAE side Sharjah FC on a two-year deal.
The 22-year-old leaves Glasgow having made 17 appearances in all competitions, none of which came this campaign.
Nsiala spent the second half of last season on loan in Belgium with Westerlo.
Sharjah have won their top flight six times, most recently in 2019, and finished eighth last season.
Nsiala may not have been in the first-team picture under Derek McInnes, but he was a popular squad member at Rangers.
What has Emmanuel Fernandez posted after Nsiala exit?
Emmanuel Fernandez was quick to comment on the Sharjah post confirming Nsiala’s move.
“Lil bro,” he posted, while fellow Gers player Djeidi Gassama liked the post.
However, no further departures are now expected from Ibrox this calendar year.
McInnes now knows who he has to work with, and the signs over the past few weeks are certainly positive.
Everyone connected to Rangers will no doubt wish Nsiala well following a move that simply did not work out for the player or the club.
