It comes as Rangers have seen their offer to take the player on loan rejected due to the Gers not offering to take on the player’s full salary.
Jordan himself, who is contracted with Sevilla until 2027, is keen to make an impression in pre-season and has rejected offer to leave the La Liga club.
Rangers trying to sign Joan Jordan from Sevilla
This would be quite a coup for Philippe Clement’s side.Signing a player like Jordan would give the entire club a much-needed lift as they look to battle Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title next season.
However, it appears as if a potential move might be too complicated for the Gers to pull off First and foremost, Sevilla seem unwilling to let the player go on Rangers’ terms, and due to Jordan’s high salary, it doesn’t appear that the Glasgow-based club would be able to take on the financial commitment.

In addition, Jordan himself doesn’t seem in any particular rush to leave Sevilla, with the player determined to make an impact at the club.
Therefore, it might be wise for Rangers to move on to new transfer targets and avoid wasting any time on a deal which seems destined to f
ail.
If there are indications they can get a deal done, that is fantastic, but right now it doesn’t appear as if there are.
In other Rangers news, an injury claim has emerged after an incident during the club’s match with Ajax.
