Rangers made a lot of stranger decisions in the transfer market last summer, starting with letting Michael Beale make all the decisions.

Most of the signings he made have failed to live up to the star billing he gave them but it was a player he moved on that could cost Philippe Clement as he looks to rebuild the squad.

The last 12-months have obviously left a sour taste in Hagi’s mouth though and he continues to be linked with a move to the country of his birth – Turkey.

Becali confirmed that there is plenty of interest in his client:

“Ianis has one year left on his contract with Glasgow Rangers. I don’t know when he will, and if he will show up [for pre-season]. He’s about to leave.

“I’m also hearing left and right, that several teams would like him. Rangers may want to get something back on him. Ianis does not have a small salary with them. We’ll see, it’s time.”
