Rangers total summer 2024 net transfer spend revealed now window has closedGary Kirkpatrick

Rangers fans will look back on the summer 2024 transfer window with an underwhelming glare.

Philippe Clement and Nils Koppen completed their recruitment drive on deadline day, bringing the total number of incomings up to 11 if you include Mohamed Diomande’s permanent move.

Why Doesn’t Monaco Have A National Football Team?

The Ivorian was the most expensive addition of the window before less than a handful of departures at the end of August allowed Rangers to spend big on Nedim Bajrami.

Of the 11 signings, fees were splurged on five with the other six either free transfers or loans until the end of the 2024/25 campaign.

As far as outgoings are concerned, Rangers did very well to slash the wage bill with big earners such as Connor Goldson, John Lundstram and Ryan Jack all moving out.

Sam Lammers’ sale was the largest of the summer for the Light Blues, while the club cashed in on Todd Cantwell and Scott Wright on deadline day.

So after all the wheelings and dealings, how much did Rangers spend this summer and what does the net spend figure stand at?

Last year, it was a loss of £5m for the summer as a result of Michael Beale’s squad rebuild. Rangers News crunches the numbers below to determine what it is this time around.
