Nicolas Kuhn has Man City and Celtic fans saying same thing as winger jokingly dubbed ‘first billion pound player’

Nicolas Kuhn had both Celtic and Manchester City fans praising his talents last night as he shone in North Carolina.

The German put on a masterclass in the Hoops’ pre-season clash against the Premier League giants as he netted twice and chipped in with an excellent assist for another as Brendan Rodgers’ side ran out 4-3 winners from an enthralling 90 minutes. Kuhn, who joined from Rapid Vienna in January, had a decent end to the season with two goals and two assists as his side won the league and cup double but some punters were perhaps waiting for him to really light up.

But if the USA action was anything to go by, fans can allow themselves to get excited about what the 24-year-old might bring – with one City supporter – jokingly, we suspect – suggesting he could go on to become a BILLION quid player.

The fan wrote: “This Kuhn guy is gonna be the first billion pound footballer” after he turned City inside out.

Another City fan added: “Nicolas Kuhn is one to watch for the future,” with eye emojis while a third commented: “Sign this Kuhn guy immediately.”

Celtic supporters were also buzzing with his performance with one also crediting another player for his showing. He wrote on social media: “Kuhn is like Arjen Robben today. Schmeichel also class with his passing.”

Another commented: “We may end up getting a £30million offer from Man City for Nicolas Kuhn after the game. Two brilliant goals.”
