Leeds United winger Manor Solomon had a strong debut on Saturday as his driving run and cross helped open the scoring, getting him off the mark with a deserved assist.Leeds’ first four games in the Championship have yielded eight points, a three-point improvement from their start to the previous season.

With it has come a strong impact from the new faces in Daniel Farke’s squad, most notably coming in the recent win over Hull City. From the opening exchanges, all the way until he was subbed off with Leeds seeing out the win, Manor Solomon was arguably Leeds’ biggest attacking threat.

Last season, Crysencio Summerville’s exploits on the left channel had Leeds boasting a constant force down that side of the pitch, and Solomon looks to have taken up that mantle with ease.

A thorn in Lewis Coyle’s side all game and an effective part of Leeds’ high pressing structure, he got an assist on his debut when he drove down the left and dug out a left-footed cross to the near post, meeting Mateo Joseph’s razor sharp run to prod home.Manor Solomon v Hull City

“I thought Solomon was man of the match to be honest with you. He’s got a quality that’s better than this level. You can see that.

“In the first 20 minutes it was like tackling smoke, he was unplayable at times. All those messages are good messages. If you fill your stadium, make sure you send them home happy and that’s what Leeds have done today.”Solomon looks a massive threat down Leeds’ left wing

It would be a surprise if Solomon is even at 100% speed right now after his previous injury problems, but he looked immense on Saturday.

He constantly looked to beat his man, but kept the ball very well and was positive in how he attacked, making the right decisions constantly.

If he’s not yet at full speed, then we can count on having one of the best options in the league, should he stay fit for a lot of the season.
