Breaking News:Philippe Clement wants Rangers transfers as new Joan Jordan development emerges

Philippe Clement is ready to bolster his midfield options at Rangers in the summer transfer window, according to Football Scotland.

It is reported that despite a failed loan bid for Sevilla midfielder Joan Jordan [Fabrizio Romano], the Spaniard has been told that he is surplus to requirements.

Rangers finished eight points behind the pace of eventual champions and rivals Celtic in the Scottish Premiership last season, and while there’s a lot to be said for the success of the league winners, fans were upset to see Clement’s men slip to seven defeats in 38 games.

In a lot of those instances, control in the middle of the park was a real concern.

They need someone willing to take command and dictate the pace of the game. So, given Jordan’s current standing at Sevilla, you’d have to imagine he’s eager to prove himself in another European league.

This is definitely one to watch soon.

In other Rangers news, an update has been shared on the hunt for another new striker transfer.

Though Rangers are preparing for the new season, there seems to be plenty of uncertainty everywhere you look behind the scenes. This tumultuous summer got off to a rough start with the sudden news of the chief executive James Bisgrove’s resignation as he heads to Saudi Arabia.

Add these losses to the potential departure of James Tavernier and the exits of John Lundstram, Borna Barisic, Kemar Roofe, Ryan Jack and Jon McLaughlin, and there is most definitely an air of change at Ibrox.

All of this raises serious questions about the readiness of Rangers for the coming season. The ability of the club to maintain stability both on and off the pitch is thrown into real doubt with integral people going and logistical issues yet to be resolved.
