Breaking News: Jeff Winter slams what he saw in Rangers v Hearts draw

Jeff Winter has criticised Rangers for their performance in their opening-day goalless draw against Hearts.

The Gers failed to score at Tynecastle but still came away with a point in their first Scottish Premiership clash of the season.

Former Premier League referee Winter was left unimpressed by Philippe Clement’s side and took to X on 3 August to share his discontent with what he felt was a distinct lack of goal threat.

He said: “Watched Rangers on TV, then dashed to watch Boro. Last season both my sides lacked goals, seems nothing has changed.”

Yann Dhanda, Kenneth Vargas and Lawrence Shankland all had good efforts with Jack Butland needing help from the woodwork at one point.

The lack of attacking potency is of frustration to Winter but also to the rest of the Light Blues faithful who will want to see better from their side in the coming weeks.
