It was a week of contrasting fortunes for Leeds United’s loan contingent as the Whites maintained their unbeaten start to life in the Championship.
A number of players left Elland Road this summer in an attempt to gain first-team football elsewhere, with five players in action for their respective sides this summer.
Leeds Live has taken a closer look at how they got on this weekend with varying degrees of success. Here’s how Leeds United’s loanees fared during the most recent round of fixtures:

Sam Greenwood
Despite a bright start to life at Deepdale, Sam Greenwood was on the wrong side of a 3-1 defeat this weekend. Preston North End were beaten 3-1 by newly promoted Oxford United despite taking an early lead.
Emil Riis Jakobsen gave the Lilywhites the lead after just three minutes, but that was as good as it would get for the away side on their visit to the Kassam. Mark Harris would equalise for the Yellows on the 20th minute mark, with Greenwood shown a yellow card just two minutes later.

Greenwood went close to fashioning a second goal for North end, setting up Kaine Kesler-Hayden after the restart, but it was Tyler Goodrham who gave the hosts the lead. Liam Lindsay was shown a red card for Preston in the 70th minute, with Greg Leigh adding a third for Oxford in the 71st minute.
The Whites’ loanee was replaced in the 72nd minute with Preston down to ten men and the Lilywhites were unable to salvage a point.
Darko Gyabi
Leeds loanee Darko Gyabi is yet to taste victory upon his return to Plymouth Argyle. The former Manchester City midfielder played just over an hour for Wayne Rooney’s side against Stoke City, before being replaced in the 52nd minute.
The Potters snatched a late winner in the 83rd minute winner through Million Manhoef, with Steven Schumacher leaving his former club with all three points.

Sonny Perkins
In League One, Sonny Perkins was unable to stop Leyton Orient succumbing to a 3-0 defeat away at Shrewsbury Town. Leo Castledine opened the scoring in the 22nd minute with Richie Wellens’ side in search of an equaliser.
Perkins came on in the 80th minute as Orient pushed for that all important goal. However Tom Bloxham’s goal in the 82nd minute made it 2-0 before he added a third to put the result beyond any doubt in the 95th minute.
Jack Harrison
In the Premier League, Jack Harrison and Everton looked on course for their first win of the top flight campaign, only to be denied in dramatic fashion. Harrison played the full 90 minutes of Everton’s clash with Bournemouth.
The Toffees were two goals to the good heading into the 87th minute thanks to goals from Michael Keane and Dominic Calvert-Lewin before disaster struck for Sean Dyche’s side. Antoine Semenyo scored in the 87th minute, before former Leeds United midfielder Lewis Cook equalised in the 92nd minute after being set up by another familiar face in Luis Sinisterra.
The Colombian international then grabbed the winner in the 96th minute with the final kick of the game to deny Harrison his first win of the season.

There were better fortunes over in Germany for Rasmus Kristensen, who played the full 90 minutes in Eintracht Frankfurt’s 3-1 win over Hoffenheim.
The result was Frankfurt’s first win of the Bundesliga campaign, with Hugo Ekitike, Hugo Larsson and Omar Marmoush scoring for Dino Toppmoller’s side.
Former Whites defender Robin Koch was also in action in the heart of defence, but neither he nor Kristensen were able to keep a clean sheet with Andre Kramaric scoring for the visitors in the 54th minute.
