Rangers couldn’t keep up their end of the bargain with Celtic, and only recently applied for planning permission to Glasgow city council for safety measures for away fans on derby days.
A poor showing from the Govan club, they only made their move once Brendan Rodgers said it was their issue last week and had nothing to do with Celtic.
Despite the fact there will be no travelling fans in Parkhead for next weekend’s derby, a picture has this morning emerged of the club trialling a netting near the away end:

An image of Celtic having their house in order while Rangers just get going shouldn’t be lost on anyone. Anyone that argues that it’s ok because the derby is further down the line in Ibrox has missed the point. Celtic put these plans into action over five months ago, the time, implementation and testing of the net on its own takes a long time. Furthermore, there’s still no signs of the Ibrox club reconfiguring their turnstiles to accommodate the away support safely.
The photo gives us an image of what things may look like when away supporters do return to derbies. It also paints a picture of what the size of the allocation will look like.
There is no chance Rangers fans will be at Celtic Park on September 1st, but this is what things might look like in the stadium in March when the Gers make the trip to Glasgow’s east end.

Hopefully all Sevco 5088 loans will come home to roost ( or should that read Roast)
The foe dying again, will give some other club a automatic place at the top tables.
But as the foe said last time. ‘Ohhhh no, never going to happen, where together and still strong’ .
