Adam Idah sends one word message to Luis Palma while he’s on US summer tour with Celtic

Celtic arrived in the United States of America this week to prepare for their upcoming matches in the 2024 Summer Tour next week.

The Bhoys kick off the pre-season schedule in the States with a game against DC United on the 21st of July and then follow that up with Man City on the 24th and then Chelsea on the 27th.

Brendan Rodgers will be looking forward to putting his team through a much sterner test now that Celtic have games against Ayr United, Queen’s Park and the mystery meeting with Burnley under their belts.

And as the Celtic boss put his team through their paces with some training in Washington, Luis Palma posted a picture of himself looking trim and lean after his summer international endeavours with Honduras.

As you can see, Palma’s post garnered a lot of attention with over 13,000 likes and responses from the likes of Austin FC’s Christopher Garcia and Paraguay international winger, Juan Iturbe.

But it was the response of Adam Idah, that caught my eye as he paid tribute to his former Celtic teammate.

The two clearly shared a close bond as he said simply:

‘Hermano’, meaning ‘Brother’ in Spanish is a class message to send to his former Celtic teammate. It shows the relationship both shared during Idah’s temporary Parkhead spell. With Celtic and Brendan Rodgers keen to make Idah a permanent member of the squad, the supporters will be hoping that the club can get a deal done soon so that the Irishman can join Palma in the US this summer.

Idah scored nine goals in four short months at Celtic that helped to win the Scottish Premiership and the Scottish Cup in June.

With talks still ongoing for the Republic of Ireland international striker, it now seems that Norwich boss, Johannes Hoff Thorup sounds like he has.
