Celtic team news for huge Rangers derby clash revealed

Martin O’Neill has named his starting line-up to face Rangers at Ibrox this afternoon.

Following his side’s 1-0 victory over Stuttgart in the Europa League three days ago, Celtic will be looking to get back to winning ways, after losing last time out domestically against Hibernian.

This will be the fourth time that Celtic will meet their Glasgow Derby rivals this season, after playing out a drab 0-0 draw last August. Later that year, the two sides met at the national stadium, which played host to the Premier Sports Cup semi-final.

O’Neill’s side ran out 3-1 winners that day, which was the same scoreline when Wilfried Nancy met Danny Rohl in January, though the latter came out with all three points in their visit to Celtic Park, which signalled the end of the Frenchman’s short reign.

The headline news is that Kasper Schmeichel – much maligned in recent times – doesn’t even make the bench this afternoon.

Here is the team O’Neill has gone for…

Celtic Starting XI: Sinisalo, Araujo, Murray, Scales, Tierney, McGregor, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Nygren, Yang, Maeda, Adamu

Subs: Doohan, Cvancara, McCowan, Tounekti, Sarachhi, Hatate, Arthur, Forrest, Donovan
