Danish international keeper Kasper Schmeichel on a one year deal with the option of a further year. Kasper is well known after his long and illustrious career down south particularly with Leicester City where he was a vital part of the Foxes famous EPL winning side of 2016.

He also won an FA Cup with Leicester City under the leadership of Brendan Rodgers who was one of the reasons the Dane decided to come to Glasgow. At nearly 38 Kasper is at the tail end of his career, but he still has the quality required to compete at the top level. The fact that he played in all his nation’s games at Euro 2024 testifies to that.

Most supporters were expecting a ‘younger’ replacement for the retiring Joe Hart, but I’m sure that most of us are satisfied with the signing of a keeper as talented as Kasper.
