Daniel Farke needs to stop wasting £10m Leeds United star after concerning decision v Burnley – View.

Leeds United winger Largie Ramazani is yet to start for the club since joining from Almeria in the summer window, making two late sub cameos against Hull City and Burnley.

Without being tactically fine-tined to our system, there is still considerable impact that a player of Ramazani’s quality can have, if just given faith to play more than 12 minutes against a low block.

Leeds looked out of ideas when the game wore on against Scott Parker’s Burnley on Saturday, with a chief concern how Daniel Farke struggled to get any impact out of his very talented bench.

Five changes were made, but nothing improved in terms of the Whites’ game state as they searched for an equaliser, frustrated and losing 1-0.

As Farke turned to his bench against the Clarets, he boasted a very strong selection to choose from and made his first change in the 68th minute.

Ethan Ampadu and Brenden Aaronson made way for Joe Rothwell and Joel Piroe, seeing Leeds lose one of their best deep progressors of the ball in their captain, and the impressive Aaronson in the final third too – who was receiving the ball in good areas, a benefit lost with him being hooked.

The second double-change came on 78 minutes as Junior Firpo, a crucial outlet on the left, was replaced by Sam Byram, and Largie Ramazani replaced Manor Solomon.

With 12 minutes of normal time, Ramazani was unable to help Leeds claw their way back into the match with an equaliser.

It’s been a notable grievance of fans to see how Farke utilises his bench (or doesn’t) when games look like slipping away from Leeds in the Championship.

With his five subs, Farke brought on just shy of £24million worth of talent with players that would likely walk into most teams in the division, Ramazani most of all at £10million.

For a player of his quality only to be able to muster up a meagre 24 touches across two sub appearances is not good, given he’s been given no time to actually create anything.

With such an investment, Farke needs to find a way to get the Belgian involved much more, and by extension, needs to be involved much earlier if he’s not starting.

It’s an ideal problem for Farke to have with such players on his bench, but when they’re not getting enough time to generate any rhythm, there has to be a real concern.

The idea of bedding players in tactically over time doesn’t stack up for Farke either, given his counterpart Parker had Jaidon Anthony, Josh Laurent, Zian Flemming and Hannibal Mejbri all put in a solid shift from the start of the game, and had signed at Turf Moor after Ramazani arrived at Leeds.
