John Bennett to quit as Rangers chairman in shock Ibrox developmentJohn Bennett has informed Rangers of his intention to resign as chairman, according to The Athletic.

 

The online outlet reported on Saturday (14 September) that Bennett has told his peers he wants to leave as the job has taken its toll.

 

Bennett replaced Douglas Park in the position last March, stepping up from his previous role as vice-chairman.

 

However, it is claimed that the role has become too much and he wants to step away. There are said to be no immediate plans to find a successor.
