Mikey Johnston appeared to enrage Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers during last night’s friendly against Manchester City.
The Hoops were impressive against the English champions, with a double from Nicolas Kuhn added to by strikes from Kyogo and Luis Palma. There were a number of standout performers, but Kuhn in particular lit the place up and it will have manager and supporters alike feeling confident or the season ahead.
But there was one moment where a member of the playing staff got on the wrong side of the manager, and that man was Johnston. The winger had come on at half-time with the Hoops leading 3-1, but City got themselves back into it almost immediately through Maximo Perrone.

Shortly after that, Greg Taylor found Johnston with a pass in the wide area and the former West Brom loanee attempted to flick it on, but instead of finding his intended target, knocked the ball out of play.
Rodgers looked furious and berated the Republic of Ireland international, and Peter Grant on Celtic TV commentary said: “Brendan doesn’t look too happy with Mikey Johnston after that flick and you can see why after you have just conceded.”
