Karren Brady experiences day to rival Conference League triumph with West Ham this week

Karren Brady is not exactly a universally loved figure among the West Ham United fanbase.

Brady has been at the helm during a turbulent period in West Ham‘s history, which has been full of plenty of downs and also the occasional ups.

Not least the 2023 Europa Conference League triumph, which United supporters will not forget for the rest of their lives.

More recently, Brady’s reputation took a hit when hiring Graham Potter, who was subsequently sacked and replaced by Nuno Espirito Santo.

As West Ham prepare to face Brentford on Monday, there has been an exciting development away from the London Stadium.

West Ham may be struggling quite badly on the field right now, but the club deserve credit for some of their work off the field.

Brady was part of a number of past and present figures connected to West Ham in attendance for the unveiling of ‘The Foundry’ earlier this week.

The Hammers’ community initiative was opened on Tuesday and is the new headquarters of West Ham’s foundation, contributing to social value and the local community.

Brady shared images from the event alongside Mark Noble and Nuno Espirito Santo as the multi-million-pound facility officially opened.

The West Ham vice-chair has now spoken about her pride in the facility in her weekly column for The Sun’s print edition.

“I have had many proud days in almost 16 years as vice-chair of our incredible football club,” she wrote. “To name just a few – a Wembley playoff triumph to secure promotion to the Premier League in 2012.

“The unforgettable ‘Farewell Boleyn’ match in May 2016, the opening ceremony at the London Stadium a few weeks later and, of course, the 2023 Conference League triumph in Prague.

“Cutting the ribbon at this week’s event in Beckton in the heart of East London was right up there a one of the proudest.”
